Moss-Kelley is hiring an Engineered Outside Sales Specialist. This position is based out of Central Florida. The position requires travel throughout the peninsula of Florida.
As an Engineered Outside Sales Specialist, you be will required to take ownership of the entire sales cycle and be focused on developing new business within an assigned territory, as well as retaining and developing business with existing customers. Plant level or direct sales activities require in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills.
- Prospect, develop, and close business with new and existing customers
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Perform customer consultations to obtain detailed information for producing equipment solutions to assist in the development, design, and construction phase of a project
- Maintain involvement on turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other related customer projects to meet deadlines
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the water and wastewater industry and product lines represented by the company
- Prepare and perform technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
- Utilize QuickBase client management software
- Communicate with the Moss Kelley sales team and offer sales support where necessary- 2+ years’ experience within the municipal water/wastewater industry or municipal sales is highly preferred
- Experience with sales of engineered process equipment preferred
- Must be comfortable conversing with plant level personnel, consultants, and contractors
- BS in Engineering or or equivalent work experience
- Strong professional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a results-based environment
- Self-starter and effective closer
- Mechanical / technical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- This position offers a base salary plus commission
- Mileage reimbursement
