Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Engineer to join our group as a Project Coordinator for the Sustaining Capital team at Red Chris Mine. In this role, you will support the safe, responsible, and efficient execution of new infrastructure built onsite. You will gain valuable experience in construction execution, contractor management, design optimization, and planning within a team of project delivery professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.

- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations to support internal reviews and regulatory submissions.

- Oversee procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover a multitude of projects spanning our Tailings, Mill, Pit, Camp, and site support infrastructure.

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fieldwork activities.

- Maintain accurate documentation of site visits, work performed, project status, and project risks.

- Identify and resolve issues on-site, escalating complex problems to appropriate engineering teams.

- Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses before commencing site activities.

- Manage daily reporting and communication with department teams and mine management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Geological, or Mining Engineering.

- Registered (or eligible for registration) as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).

- 2-8 years of relevant experience in mining, or civil engineering, or mechanical engineering.

- Strong interest in construction execution and experiencing a multitude of interdisciplinary projects through completion.

- Familiarity with project delivery methods (scheduling, earned value progress, lean project delivery, etc.)

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

- Willingness to work in a remote mine site on a rotational basis.

Working Conditions

- Location: Site-based with a regular rotation

- Work Schedule: 15/13 rotation

- Conditions: Exposure to warehouse and industrial settings, requiring PPE compliance

CAD 91,800- CAD 122,400,

The expected salary range for this role is CA$91,800-122,400 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
