Engineer-Level 3 - Senior - Contract 1 Year
This position requires frequent travel to Juno Beach, FL within the first 3-6 months of being in the role.
Project Engineer supporting solar farm design and construction.
· Plans, organizes, and manages engineering projects with advanced knowledge application, balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
· May oversee a team of engineers and oversee design development, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure.
· Supports detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications for power delivery projects.
· The team bridges the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, ensuring that they apply best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
· Strong negotiation and team member management skills, ensuring technical compliance and project success.
· Managed 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects.
· Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning. They require coordination with diverse project team members, such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers. This coordination is necessary for both early stage and construction.
· Have experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with knowledge of the applicable engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials.
· Experience managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.
· Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
· Relevant Experience: 11+ years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon review of qualifications, to be $75/hour to $78/hour.
