- Test and evaluate the performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and integrated systems using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and other test instruments
- Troubleshoot DC and AC voltage systems, VFDs, and PLCs, including Allen-Bradley, Bristol, Phoenix Contact, and Siemens platforms
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and system components
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to determine assembly methods and sequences
- Work with SCADA software, including VTScada and Wonderware
- Apply knowledge of control networks, including IP- and Modbus-based systems
- Utilize and troubleshoot communication protocols such as Serial, Modbus, TCP/IP, HART, and OPC
- Perform troubleshooting on 4–20 mA control loops
- Apply general control wiring knowledge
- Communicate with customers regarding timelines, expectations, and preferences
- Develop and follow established programming and quality standards
- Calibrate scientific and technical equipment
- Radio communication systems knowledge is preferred but not required- 3+ years of experience in PLC troubleshooting, testing, and startup (shop and field experience)
- At least 2 years of experience working in a similar industrial or controls environment
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional bending, stretching, and lifting
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Salary is based on relevant experience.
