Amount of Travel Required: generally, less than 30%; up to 50 %+ possible on occasion
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday–Friday)
May require work beyond designated hours.
POSITION SUMMARY: Electrical Trainers are vital members of our organization, responsible for generating training content, assessing competencies, and administering effective training programs that empower our employees to excel in their roles. This role will revolve around equipping team members with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to succeed, fostering a culture of continuous learning
and growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
•Show competency in the following:
•Troubleshooting and performing necessary repairs to malfunctioning equipment
•Troubleshooting all MV motors, VFDs and processing gear
•Ensuring proper grounding grid is laid out and tested including but not limited to all EVO equipment/Third Party Equipment on site which is supplied power by EVO
•Conducting work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace instructions follows all applicable OEM Manufacturer, OSHA, MSHA, NEC codes to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and operation of all electrical equipment
•Performing routine maintenance on MV Switch Gear, MV Circuit Breakers, Transformers, and all associated equipment
•Monitoring and troubleshooting Branch Feeder Circuit Protection Relays
•Performing routine maintenance and or testing of all MV cables prior to each frac operation
•Maintaining condition of electrical devices, equipment, and cables
•Ensuring Power Distribution to all equipment including but not limited to cable routing, designation, cable terminations, final inspection of entire system and approval prior to energizing any Medium Voltage Circuits
•Generates and updates content for operational training courses.
•Evaluates employee operational competencies and address gaps.
•Identifies and reports training needs and issues.
•Assists employees and mentors completing training and mentoring duties.
•Provides ad hoc training as necessary.
•Manages training equipment including items like tablets, computers, and other electronic equipment as required.
•Administers operational training program at the local level.
•Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
•Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
•Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
•High School Diploma or GED. Technical College Training is preferred.
•18 months previous medium voltage electrical experience required OR associate’s degree in electrical technology or related field.
•NEC / Country code familiarization
•OSHA /Code Familiarization
Preferred Experience:
•Previous oilfield service experience.
•MV mining experience is also acceptable.
•MV drive experience preferred.
•Certified journeyman electrician/ Master Electrician
•Protection Relay Experience/ Certifications a Plus
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
•Ability to pass ET/MV 3 Competency Placement
•Ability to operate testing equipment (Megger, Multimeter/Process Meter, Amp probe, High Pot, Test Unit, etc.)
•Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
•Proficient in Protection Relays
•A good understanding of networking & functionality of networking software tools
•Medium Voltage experience
•Medium Voltage Switch Gear Applications
•Knowledge of IEDAC Controls
•Ability to read, write, and comprehend intermediate English.
•Efficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•Attends and successfully completes annual safety recertification training.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job necessity.
