- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial environments.
- Configure, calibrate, and test control systems, power distribution systems, and process control instrumentation.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify issues; repair or replace defective components as necessary.
- Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Set up new instruments, control systems, and associated circuitry in compliance with industry and safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and isolate faulty parts, circuits, or panels; repair, fabricate, or replace components as needed.
- Install and test electrical equipment, including conduit, panels, lighting, receptacles, motor control panels, relays, contactors, starters, motors, pumps, valves, electrical services, and generators (low to medium voltage).
- Create, maintain, and verify electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist management with special projects or workflow optimization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the facility.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team, applying strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of electrical, electronic, and industrial process systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Instrumentation Technology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required; three (3) years preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or calibrating instruments.
- Requires physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders to elevated areas.
- May involve outdoor work in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, or position objects up to 20 pounds as needed.
- Participation in facility safety training and adherence to all safety standards is required.
- May be required to move throughout the facility to coordinate work and perform inspections.
- Occasional weekend or evening work may be required based on operational needs.
- Must be able to travel as necessary for training, support, or project assignments.
