Job Description

Americas Gold & Silver is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Electrical Supervisor to join our team at the Galena Complex in Wallace, Idaho. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance and installation activities across underground and surface operations. The successful candidate will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems while leading a team of electricians to support continuous mining and milling operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of underground and surface electricians.

- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, MSHA regulations, and company policies.

- Plan and prioritize electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project work.

- Oversee installation, inspection, and maintenance of high- and low-voltage systems.

- Maintain substations, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems.

- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with maintenance planning and operations teams to coordinate scheduled work.

- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and management of electrical supplies and inventory.

- Provide training, mentorship, and performance management for electrical personnel.

- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and electrical schematics.

Qualifications and Experience

- Required: Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent electrical trade qualification.

- Minimum of seven (7) years of industrial electrical experience.

- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

- Experience in mining, milling, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of underground power distribution systems.

- Familiarity with MSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
