· Collaborate with job crew leads, technicians, and external stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture.
· Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training completions, and compliance documentation.
· Stay current with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, local environmental laws) and industry best practices in renewable energy.
· Train technicians and other personnel in industry standards such as Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Advanced Rescue Training (ART), working at heights, confined space entry, fire awareness, manual handling, first aid, and emergency rescue.
· Preparing documentation for written support and conveying information appropriately.
· Contributing to the creation of new safety, quality, compliance SOPs, and work instructions.
· Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, their associated hazards, and the general responsibilities of different roles on wind farms.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS/Training roles within the wind/renewable energy sector, including hands-on work with wind turbines.
· Proven experience as a technical trainer, preferably certified in adult education or training delivery.
· Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to wind farm sites, including rapid response to EHS incident investigations.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in classroom and field settings.
· Physical fitness to work at heights, climb turbines, and perform rescue demonstrations.

· Decisiveness Under Pressure: Rapidly assess risks, prioritize actions, and execute contingency plans during weather delays or equipment failures.
· Coaching & Talent Development: Identify skill gaps, deliver constructive feedback, and accelerate technician progression.
· Conflict Resolution: De-escalate crew disputes and vendor issues while preserving morale and safety focus.
· Change Management: Drive adoption of new processes and tools across resistant field teams.
· Data-Driven Communication: Translate metrics, trends, and lessons-learned into clear, actionable updates for executives and crews.
· Continuing Education: tailored to Zephyr and project specific requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS/Training roles within the wind/renewable energy sector, including hands-on work with wind turbines.
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Instructor certification (including modules for Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and Sea Survival where applicable); GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Instructor qualifications; OSHA 10/30 or equivalent; additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, confined space rescue, LOTO, and electrical safety preferred.
