We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious DZ Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers, while maintaining a professional and positive image of the company. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, effective communication, and the ability to provide excellent service to both customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

- Safe and Timely Delivery:

Operate DZ class vehicles safely and efficiently deliver goods to designated locations. Complete all deliveries on schedule while complying with all road safety laws and regulations, including company safety policies. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries.

- Driver’s Log & Vehicle Maintenance:

Maintain accurate and detailed daily delivery documentation, including trip logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues to management promptly and adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule for optimal vehicle performance and safety.

- Customer Relations:

Act as a professional ambassador of the company during interactions with customers. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely, courteous, and professional service. Address any concerns or issues that may arise during deliveries.

- Compliance & Safety Standards:

Follow all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times. Comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with load distribution and safety standards. Operate vehicles in accordance with company procedures to promote a safe work environment.

- Loading & Unloading Assistance:

Assist with loading and unloading materials at customer sites, ensuring all items are handled with care. Safely secure materials in the vehicle to prevent damage during transport.

- Team Collaboration:

Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, resolve any issues, and ensure seamless communication. Provide feedback on delivery challenges or inefficiencies to help improve operations.

Requirements:

- Valid DZ Driver’s license: Minimum of 6 years of DZ driving experience with clean driver’s abstract (Submit abstract with application)

- Knowledge of Transport Regulations: Strong understanding of the Highway Traffic Act, load security regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) laws, and other related transportation regulations.

- Excellent Time Management & Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with customers, team members, and management. Ensure timely delivery by effectively prioritizing tasks.

- Customer Service Orientation: Professional, positive attitude and the ability to represent the company in a courteous and respectful manner.

- Familiarity with ELD (Electronic Logging Device) systems and geo-location technology.

- Ability to lift 50lbs (if required)

Assets:

- 10 years of commercial delivery experience, especially in urban settings.

- Experience with curtain trucks and dual axle straight trucks.

- Valid AZ-DZ Driver's License in good standing.
