The Drilling Supervisor will oversee drilling operations for DISA’s mineral recovery projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in alignment with company standards and environmental regulations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage field crews, optimize drilling techniques, and coordinate with project management to achieve operational excellence.
- High School Diploma required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in drilling in a mining or energy related industry
- Supervise and coordinate all drilling activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational schedules, and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor drilling crews, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance.
- Develop and implement drilling plans in coordination with engineers, geologists, and project managers.
- Monitor drilling progress, equipment performance, and resource usage, making adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local mining regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of drilling activities, equipment maintenance, and project reporting.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide actionable solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mineral recovery, remediation, and site restoration efforts.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in drilling, automation, and data analytics to implement improvements.
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
- Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.
- Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with drilling equipment, techniques, and safety practices.
- Experience with mineral processing, remediation projects, or slurry systems.
- Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and safely operate and maintain industrial equipment.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team, supporting shared goals and fostering positive relationships.
- Adapt to dynamic environments and identify solutions to challenges with flexibility and problem-solving skills.

- Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
