Responsible for coordinating and supervision of planned and unplanned maintenance repairs carried out by the rotating shifts and contractors to ensure that continuity of work occurs between shift rotations and weekends. Responsible for coordination of emergent work that takes place outside of the normal planning and scheduling process to support availability and compliance to plan targets.
- Enforce adherence and compliance to daily and weekly work plan.
- Promote timely, efficient, and effective execution of the PM services. Responsible for and works closely with contractors to identify and manage bottlenecks, functional capability gaps and constraints with projects to ensure that actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department KPI metrics.
- Recommend changes as needed to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of project execution and efficient work practices.
- Responsible for ensuring Maintenance team is equipped with required critical parts for a successful execution of work.
- Be highly involved with crew lineouts, to include running effective safety meetings
- Ensure all PM, PCR and Major overhauls are planned and carried out adequately. Be highly involved with proper parts ordering and establishing shutdown critical paths and project execution.
- Ensure all major components component changes are documented and components are staged for core credit returns.
- Must be highly involved with the welding and machining teams to ensure adequate repairs/rebuilds with bucket and beds.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while enforcing safety, environmental, and company procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure and maintain accurate internal document record keeping
- Manage employee schedules, timecards, vacations, etc.
- Devise daily work plans based on operational priorities, primary maintenance objectives, and current labor.
- Implement changes as needed to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of project execution and efficient work practices.
- Work closely with mining department supervisors collaboratively to meet plans and targets for both departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience with a mechanical or technical background in maintenance and/or a relevant mining experience and background.
- Must have a good understanding of Loading, Drilling equipment and welding procedures.
- Knowledgeable with Arrow and Oracle/EAM scheduling tool or similar system and Avent-X Mobile App will be desirable.
- Thorough understanding standard maintenance and operational procedures and able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
- Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
