The successful incumbent for this position will be hired within an annualized salary range of
$59,861 - $79,816, depending on qualifications for the position. The maximum in this pay scale is $99,769. Pay above the midpoint to the maximum is typically reserved for employees with sustained performance and established longevity in the position at Douglas PUD.

Position Summary
The Drafting Technician uses Computer Aided Drafting software to perform drafting duties and support engineering design. The Drafting Technician is expected to work within the following drafting disciplines: electrical, structural, civil, mechanical, and architectural.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Education And Experience
Associate’s degree in drafting or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and at least two years of drafting experience. Two years of additional equivalent experience may be substituted for the required degree. Experience in land surveying or experience working closely with land surveyors is helpful.

Certifications
A valid driver's license and proof of good driving record is required for this position (will be verified upon job offer). Out-of-state candidates must acquire a Washington State driver's license within 30 days of employment.

Background screening In accordance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards, Douglas County Public Utility District #1 conducts post-offer background screening of personnel who have access to the District's critical physical and/or cyber assets.
