Design Technician

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supporting engineering team responsible for modifying commercial equipment to meet military requirements for both prime products and powertrain solutions, primarily focused on machines.

· Detailing, checking, and releasing activities supporting the design engineers

· Processing and handling of export restricted information

· Other duties as assigned in support of the team’s projects

· Creo model updates.

· Create or modify engineering drawings.

· Teamcenter updates.

· Design control updates.

· Check and review engineering drawings.

· Release changes in EDS.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· High school diploma or GED with 5-7 years’ experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

· Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

· Knowledge of relevant computer applications, such as CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting).

· Must have previous detailing and release experience.

· Familiarity with engineering systems and tools (Teamcenter, EDS, HVC, Creo, etc.).

· Previous experience releasing drawings in EDS.

· Previous experience detailing drawings in Creo.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Teamcenter captain experience.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

· Team player and detail oriented.

· Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

· Willingness to learn.

· Self-starter.

· Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
