Dispatcher and Administrative Assistant

Compensation: Wage Range: - Experience will be a factor

Employment type: Full-Time – Graveyard night shift

- The ability to work for up to 12 hours

- Dispatcher Experience preferred. (with fueling company)

- Customer Service Skills required

- Work as part of the dispatch team and provide assistance as needed

- Answer phones, enter orders, provide drivers with fueling locations and loading information

- Assist with route and administration of our Mobile Fuel System.(Smartlogix, Tower etc.)

- Continuously monitor dispatch programs, GPS, cameras, constant driver communication

- Anticipate and resolve delivery delays and/or driver/equipment problems.

- Document all incidents or events impacting safety or service (spills, injuries, accidents, etc.) and provide document promptly to Fleet and Safety Manager.

- In conjunction with other dispatchers, verify and track that all drivers and trucks are certified and in compliance including: rack cards, vapor cert, insurance and licenses

- Provide daily delivery routes and all instructions to all drivers

- Monitor hours of service and keep drivers within legal operating limits

- Prepare daily shift notes and periodically attend monthly driver meetings

- Ability to work on-call weekends

- Issue necessary equipment to drivers such as gloves, safety glasses, delivery tickets, etc.

- Communicate with Sales for any customer issues

- Work with maintenance department to insure all trucks are serviced and working properly

- Work with Billing department to insure all necessary driver paperwork is received
