Director, SEC Reporting

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Director, SEC Reporting to lead all aspects of public company reporting ensuring timely, accurate, and well-controlled SEC fillings. You'll serve as the technical accounting and disclosure leader across the organization, partnering closely with the CAO, Investor Relations, Legal, and senior finance leadership.

This is a high-impact leadership role in a publicly traded, capital-intensive energy business. Precision, discipline, and judgement are non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

- Lead preparation, review, and filling of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements.

- Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements.

- Oversee financial statement disclosures, MD&A, and supporting schedules.

- Manage quarterly and year-end reporting cycles, including coordination with external auditors.

- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC rule changes, drive implementation across the organization.

- Partner with Investor Relations and Legal to ensure consistency and clarity in financial communications.

- Lead and develop the SEC reporting team, setting high standards for accuracy and execution.

- Support technical accounting research and complex transaction memos.

- Contribute to special projects, including M&A, capital markets transactions, and debt/equity offerings.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.

- 10+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience. - 5+ years in public company SEC reporting leadership role.

- Big 4 experience strongly preferred.

- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX.

- Experience in energy or other capital-intensive industries preferred.

- Strong executive communication skills.
