The Director of Treasury is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the company’s treasury function, with a primary focus on enterprise liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and funding execution. This role owns short-term and long-term liquidity planning, working capital optimization, and the administration of corporate and project-level debt facilities following close. The Director of Treasury is accountable for enterprise-wide debt compliance and covenant monitoring, including oversight of project-level lender reporting prepared by Asset Management teams.
The role partners closely with FP&A to translate the corporate financial model into actionable cash forecasts and with Capital Markets to support facility closings and assume ongoing facility administration post-close. The Director of Treasury manages treasury banking relationships, oversees accounts receivable, administers construction loan draw processes, and ensures accurate execution of complex cash flow waterfalls across operating assets with multiple lenders.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in liquidity management, treasury operations, and systems-driven process design, with a demonstrated ability to modernize cash forecasting and reporting through automation and advanced tools. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to operate effectively across Finance, Asset Management, and executive leadership to ensure disciplined cash management, risk mitigation, and scalable treasury operations.
- Own the company’s enterprise liquidity strategy, including daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term cash forecasting and liquidity planning
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a rolling cash flow forecast that translates the FP&A corporate financial model into accurate, actionable cash timing
- Partner closely with FP&A to ensure the corporate operating model, project forecasts, and strategic plans are systematically integrated into treasury liquidity models
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable cash forecasting and liquidity planning processes, replacing manual spreadsheet-based workflows with automated, system-driven, and AI-enabled solutions
- Evaluate, select, and implement treasury management systems, cash forecasting tools, and ERP enhancements to improve cash visibility, forecast accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Directly oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring payment timing, collections, and working capital outcomes align with liquidity objectives
- Actively manage working capital optimization, including cash conversion cycle and funding efficiency
- Manage treasury banking relationships, including day-to-day interaction with banks related to cash management, accounts, payment platforms, and treasury services
- Administer all corporate and project-level debt facilities post-close, ensuring accurate execution of borrowing, repayments, interest payments, and ongoing compliance
- Manage construction loan funding processes, including draw requests, lender documentation, funding coordination, and cash application
- Oversee and administer complex cash flow waterfalls for operating assets with multiple lenders, ensuring accurate allocation of cash, compliance with financing agreements, and timely execution
- Accountable for enterprise-wide debt compliance and covenant monitoring, including oversight of project-level lender reporting prepared by Asset Management teams
- Partner with the Capital Markets team during facility closings and assume responsibility for ongoing facility administration following close
- Establish and maintain strong governance, controls, and approval frameworks over cash disbursements, collections, borrowing activity, intercompany funding, and waterfall distributions
- Assess and mitigate risks related to liquidity, payment processing, banking platforms, funding execution, and covenant compliance
- Provide regular liquidity, covenant, and funding reports to executive leadership and the CFO to support capital allocation and strategic decision-making
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing treasury team, ensuring strong controls, repeatable processes, and clear accountability
- Directly supervise the treasury, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments
- 8-10 years of experience in cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing multiple direct reports
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in Excel required
- Familiarity with banking industry rules and regulations
- Experience working with Vista accounting software preferred, but not required
