POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Director, Human Resources to join our HR team of Grid and Energy Services Business Unit will shape and execute comprehensive HR strategies across our growing renewable energy systems business. You will lead HR operations—recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance, compliance, culture, learning & development—while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Your mission: cultivate a high-performance, engaged, compliant organization ready to scale sustainably in a dynamic industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Leadership
•Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, including workforce planning to support growth and operational expansion
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
•Design and execute full-cycle recruitment to attract top technical, engineering, and operational talent; lead onboarding initiatives that drive retention
Compensation & Benefits Management
•Oversee compensation planning, benchmarking, payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and incentives to ensure market competitiveness
Employee Relations & Culture
•Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture via clear communication, feedback mechanisms, conflict resolution, and DEI initiatives
Performance Management & Learning & Development
•Lead performance cycles (goal setting, reviews, PIPs); develop training and leadership growth programs that build internal capability
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
•Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; manage investigations, labor law adherence, HR audits, and OSHA/safety coordination
HR Operations & Systems
•Optimize HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll, ATS); produce and analyze HR metrics (turnover, headcount, engagement, compensation) to guide strategy
Organizational Development & Change Management
•Lead change initiatives to maintain culture during growth or restructuring; partner across functions (finance, operations, legal) for integrated organizational solutions.
Safety & Facilities Oversight
•Oversee worker safety, facility planning, and employee well‑being programs in compliance with regulations
Global/Remote Office Support (If applicable)
•Build HR capabilities in remote/expansion sites—establish policies, recruit and onboard local teams, manage compensation and compliance
Financial Management & Budgeting
•Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and alignment with business financial objectives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSHRD) and HR certification (SHRM‑SCP, PHR) preferred
10–20 years of progressive HR experience, including* 5 years in senior leadership roles within high-growth, tech or manufacturing environments—renewable energy experience strongly preferred. Experience HR management on software development organization in fast pace and agile working environments.
•Strong expertise in HR operations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance, compliance, and employee relations
•Deep understanding of employment law and HR best practices across multiple jurisdictions
•Proven track record leading organizational development, change management, engagement, and DEI initiatives
•Excellent communication, strategic thinking, data-driven mindset, and ability to influence senior leaders
•High integrity, professional ethics, resilience, and ability to thrive in fast-paced growth environments
•Willingness to travel (e.g., for remote site visits or international compliance audits).

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
