We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations within the Joint Venture and Business Development team. This role will focus on financial strategy, analysis, and management for our joint ventures and new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, strategic planning, and collaboration within a dynamic, cross-functional environment. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic financial decisions, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting the growth initiatives of our transmission projects.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, finance or related field of study from accredited university or college.
Experience: Minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience with a solid background and related knowledge in the transmission system operations, planning, regulatory, or accounting functions, including 5 years in a management capacity. Must have a proven ability to engage team and drive them to seek continuous improvement of processes.
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: MBA or CPA Preferred
BASE SALARY: approximately ($156,000 - $202,000/year). In addition to base salary, AEP offers competitive Total Rewards including: discretionary annual and long-term incentives, 401(k), pension, health insurance, vacation, educational assistance, etc.
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
