Summary:
The Director, Projects – Renewable Energy Systems (RS) Transmission and Distribution (T&D) is
responsible for the development of the power delivery construction business with an emphasis on renewable energy. This position will lead a large team of employees and be responsible for the safe operation of the RES T&D power delivery construction business. Areas of expertise should include, substation construction, transmission and distribution overhead and underground power line construction, solar power delivery systems, battery storage power delivery systems and wind driven turbine power delivery systems This position will continue to review and re-define the business strategy in conjunction with senior management, be responsible for the business budget, develop new relationships with utilities and private customers, respond to requests for proposals and, when successful on bids, give direction to the Project Managers who will be responsible for delivering quality projects on time and on budget. In this position, you must be willing to travel. This role will be hybrid requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.
Requirements:
•Reviews and approves the RES T&D construction business strategy plan yearly.
•Develops and is responsible for the RES T&D construction business plan.
•Ensures the project teams have the resources, workforce, and materials to safely build a power delivery system construction project with a high degree of quality per the construction schedule.
•Works with the business development team to create leads and develop relationships with prospective customers.
•Oversees the responses to Requests for Proposals and supports the bid process to negotiate new projects successfully.
•Directs and supervises the delivery of power delivery construction projects.
•Ensures that projects are constructed safely to high-quality standards and that they are resourced correctly to be completed on time and on budget.
•Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
•Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures
•Develops and maintains schedules, processes, and procedures to ensure the delivery of quality projects safely and on time.
•Leverages knowledge of equipment and personnel required to deliver projects.
•Stays up to date with current industrial requirements.

•An advanced knowledge of electrical safety requirements and practices including: NFPA 70E, NESC, and other Standard Industry Practices which provide for a high degree of safety for personnel and equipment.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering or construction management or bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant experience, required.
•10+ years' experience in construction, preferably working on Utility projects with some amount of experience in Transmission Line power delivery system construction, required.
•Valid Driver’s License Required.
•Ability to travel 16-30% of the time domestically required.
•Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels of the business.
•Ability to motivate a team to work well with others and successfully deliver results.
•Well-developed understanding of transmission business.
•Excellent written and verbal skills.
•Excellent analytical ability.
•Able to prioritize work.
•Should be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
•Must be willing and able to travel as the job requires.
•Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
•Proficient user of MS Office and Primavera P6.
•Functional competencies include accountability, business acumen, attention to detail, managing vision & purpose, and ethics & integrity.
Anticipated base salary range: $170,000 - $212,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
