The Director, Controller will direct the financial operations of the company including revenue generation, budgeting, planning, investing, and leading the administrative functions, as directed and consistent with WSPA's financial policies and Bylaws. The Director, Controller serves as the Treasurer for the Association.

- ·Work with the CEO, COO and PCAFC to ensure the financial integrity of WSPA by overseeing and managing all financial functions of the organization.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies, including long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, aligned with the association's strategic objectives.
- Overseeing all aspects of the association's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management.
- Engaging with the board of directors, committees, and other stakeholders, providing financial updates and insights, and ensuring transparency in financial matters.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and promoting professional development.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, providing insights into financial performance, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Lead and develop member recruitment strategies and dues.
- Provides financial analysis as needed
- Exploring and implementing new technologies to improve financial processes and efficiency
- Treasurer:
- Managing financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and implementing internal controls.
- Managing the association's investments and cash flow to optimize financial resources.
- Manage the association's operating and reserve accounts, overseeing deposits and investments, and ensuring bills are paid promptly.
- The treasurer serves as the point of contact for financial matters, liaising with the association's accountant, auditors, and potentially financial institutions.
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the association's assets and prevent fraud.
- Specific tasks may include:
Working with the board to establish financial policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
- Prefer 15 years’ experience in public accounting and/or management of an accounting/finance department
- Familiarity with all aspects of an accounting operation including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management.
- Able to creatively apply solutions to unique and dynamic circumstances.
- Interpersonal skills to build strong, trusting relationships with WSPA members, executive management and staff

This position is responsible for all accounting and finance employees with direct supervision of the Accounting Manager and versight of the Accounting Clerk.
Job may require some travel and occasional evening and weekend work.
