Die Setter 2+ YRS EXP REQ

We are actively looking to add experienced steel stamping die setter to our current press room team! If you have experience setting dies in progressive/transfer presses for steel stamping, we believe there is an opportunity for you with Motor City! Must utilize proper methods of lockout tagout and maintaining machines. This is a full time position working 40+ hours per week.

- Set up progressive/transfer metal stamping dies in power press – minster presses and Arisa presses.

- Check first piece part using various gages and inspection tools to ensure customer quality standards are met.

- Able to properly start and end coil strips without miss hits or die damage

- Able to thread a straightened strip from the entry part of the reel.

- Ability to start strip through the die and begin continuous machine operation.

- Recognize coil straightness problems

- Able to assist with properly and safely loading a coil.

- Responsible for following lockout/tagout requirements.

- Ensure proper labeling requirements are followed.

- Adjust feeders

- Adjust grippers on transfer presses

- Pay attention to detail, troubleshoot die set up and the way the press runs to achieve optimal results.

- Perform basic maintenance of machines if needed

- Complete necessary paperwork for die changeover

Additional Information:

Must have own tools

Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA requirements as applied to the die set up and press operation.

Must be self-motivated and disciplined

Must have own/reliable transportation, schedule is outside public transportation hours.

Good attendance is required!
