What you'll be working on...
•Dispatch propane deliveries made by delivery trucks.
•Prepare and monitor delivery schedules for bulk deliveries.
•Dispatch and review deliveries made by delivery truck in the most effective and efficient manner.
•Preparation and monitoring of delivery system.
•Make optimum use of truck availability, driver time and computerized dispatching systems in the dispatching of deliveries.
•Check credit status on customers prior to delivery.
•Monitor delivery system regarding:
•Monitor Delivery Efficiency Report from ADDS Systems.
•Monitor bulk plant percentages and report to District Manager and/or Supply Dept as required.
•Monitor metered inventory reporting.
•Distribute route manifest to delivery personnel.
Who you are....
•EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience in the Delivery Department preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Should be familiar with the operating aspects of the bulk delivery trucks, and have a general understanding of propane, all applicable codes, regulations and procedures pertaining to the Company and industry.
•COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to create, customize and apply intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills to many variable spreadsheets and office documentation. Intermediate Windows skills required to navigate, store and apply filed folder management, and general software applications.
•LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must have good telephone communication skills.
•MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
