Established Long Island based petroleum trading and distribution company is currently seeking a hands-on Credit Manager to lead credit and collections while supporting broader accounting and financial reporting. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer relationships, financial analysis, and operational accounting.
- Oversee daily credit operations and approvals
- Review reports of trade activity, accounts receivable and cash receipts
- Partner with counterparties to maximize trade credit and minimize collateral needs
- Review and approve customer credit applications
- Prepare banking reports and support financial institution relationships
- Lead annual credit line reviews and insurance renewals- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (5+ yrs exp) OR Master’s (2+ yrs exp)
- Strong financial statement analysis and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Experience in the oil or commodity industry preferred
