The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the company’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, general ledger, and other related financial activities. This position serves as an essential member of the Financial Team, both in the Corporate Office and globally.
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
- Assist in providing schedules and commentary for operational management account results and variances, and for the production of working-capital cash-flow reports
- Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets
- Prepare special financial reports, when requested by senior managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Performs customer time & material billing by project, collaborates with business units and helps resolve customer inquiries
- General ledger responsibilities, set up new accounts, reconciliation of accounts.
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, clear checks, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Fixed Asset responsibilities including maintaining the ledger and sales/disposals
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Performs inventory analysis and reporting for the Americas and Asia Pacific.
- Processes invoices in multiple currencies and initiates payment via bank wire transfers
- Provides support in the preparation of the annual budget, annual financial forecasts and monthly and annual financial statements.- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or requisite experience.
- At least two (2) years’ previous experience as an Accountant required.
- Practical knowledge in payroll accounting preferred.
- Previous experience with an accounting or ERP system required. Previous experience undergoing an ERP implementation is beneficial. Previous experience with MS Dynamics 365 a plus.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office package, especially Excel and Pivot tables required.
