Program Eligibility:

- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit).

- Complete a Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug test if the role is considered safety sensitive.

Your Opportunity at SECURE:

The Corporate Development team supports the growth of our business by identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities that deliver customer-focused, cost-effective solutions. As a summer student, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with research, analysis, and project support, contributing to initiatives that span from idea generation through to implementation.

The position will be based in the office on a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule.

The Team:

You’ll be part of a collaborative corporate development team that works across multiple disciplines, including operations, engineering, finance, and commercial. The team values curiosity, analytical thinking, and proactive problem-solving, and will provide opportunities to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful projects.

A Day in The Life:

- Support research and analysis of oilfield activity, market trends, and competitive intelligence.

- Assist with financial modelling, valuation, and return analysis under guidance from the team.

- Contribute to the preparation of business cases, presentations, and briefing materials for internal use.

- Participate in data gathering, regulatory research, and project documentation.

- Help with stakeholder and customer support activities where needed.

- Support ad-hoc corporate development projects as they arise.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

- Actively enrolled in a post-secondary program such as Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline, and returning to studies after the work term.

- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial modelling is an asset.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about corporate development and business growth initiatives.
