Acting as a front-line contributor to the Business Development team, the Business Development Representative will identify and qualify new sales opportunities, support proposal development, and help maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects. This role combines proactive outreach with collaborative execution, ensuring seamless hand-offs to senior team members and driving top-of-funnel growth.
- Research target markets and compile lists of potential clients
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to initiate contact and qualify interest
- Schedule introductory calls and discovery meetings for senior Business Development staff
- Assist in drafting tailored proposals, presentations, and marketing materials
- Coordinate internal reviews and ensure timely delivery of documents to clients
- Maintain and update CRM records (contacts, activities, deal stages) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Track key metrics (number of calls, meetings booked, proposal submissions) and report on progress weekly
- Liaise with Marketing to align on campaigns and share feedback from the field
- Partner with Operations and Production teams to clarify technical capabilities for proposals
- Work with Finance to gather data for pricing analyses and profitability assessments
- Help coordinate company presence at industry conferences, including booth logistics and lead follow-up
- Represent the company at networking events to broaden market visibility

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- 1–2 years of sales, inside-sales, or business development experience, ideally within an industrial or B2B environment
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Prophet 21) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel regionally and attend occasional overnight events
