Convenience Store Sales Associate (cross-trained with kitchen and liquor store)

Afternoon and Evening shifts available. Weekend shifts available. Possibility of Full-Time or Part-Time work. We are flexible and willing to work with other schedules. Pay is dependent on experience.

Position: Convenience Store Sales Associate (cross-trained with kitchen and liquor store)

Reports to: Store Manager

Position Summary:

A Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by processing transactions efficiently and professionally, maintaining the overall store appearance. The Sales Associate is also responsible for maintaining proper control of all cash and products and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- Ability to process information/merchandise through computer or POS register system.

- Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers.

- Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Ability to operate, use and properly care for all store equipment.

- Ability to lift, handle or move merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50lbs.

- Ability to work varied hours/day.

- Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated.

- Completes other duties as assigned by Management.

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with fueling, purchases, and inquiries.

- Operate cash registers, handle payments, and maintain accurate records.

- Cross-train in the kitchen: prepare food, handle food safety, and maintain cleanliness.

- Cross-train in the liquor store: assist customers with alcohol purchases, check ID's, and manage inventory.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Receive customer complaints and inform management promptly.

- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles within the gas station.

- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol regulations (for cross-training).

- Reliable and punctual.

Desired Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a retail environment either as a cashier or in sales.

- Previous general clerical experience or training.

- Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift 0-50 pounds.

- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

- Ability to reach overhead.

- Ability to bend/stoop/squat/frequently and occasionally for extended periods of time.

- Exposure to outside weather conditions, walk in coolers & freezers, frequently & occasionally.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
