Contract Specialist

Primary Function

Under general supervision, administers and resolves contractual issues of District active contracts; manages invoicing process by receiving, processing and approving payment of complete work, ensures funding is available for each approved action; resolves minor conflicts; and assists Senior Contract Specialist in other matters as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering, business or public administration and one year of contract administration or project management experience, preferably with a utility or public entity.

Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.

Other Requirements/Testing

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
