The Gas Marketing Representative will be a key member of the Tamarack team. This role will liaise with internal groups such as engineering, field operations, corporate planning, financial and operational accounting as well as all of Tamarack’s external counterparties such as marketers, transport brokers and pipelines companies. It’s a critical role to ensure all production can flow uninterrupted.
Key Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Balance daily TC Energy account
- Complete CSO duties: allocate TVE production to third-party producers and ensure third-party producers have accurate nominations based on contracts
- Evaluate and negotiate market options and netback maximization (FTP contracts, Alliance open season, Alliance asset management contract)
- Attend asset meetings to ensure current and future transport needs are met
- During pipeline firm receipt restrictions, acquire transport to keep all gas production flowing
- Attend monthly hedge meetings and provide recommendations on hedge targets and budgets based on market fundamentals
- Acquire firm receipt transport monthly and move existing firm receipt transport as necessary to ensure transport needs are met
- Review all revenue statements and transport invoices for accuracy in volume and pricing
- Prepare gas revenue statements for TVE Production Accountants and provide prompt month accruals for accounting
- Quarterly transportation contract commitment update
- Provide gas pricing to internal customers
- Ad hoc analysis for Acquisition and Divestitures
- Participate in industry committees (TTFP, Alliance Shipper Committee, GRIKs)
- Maintain frequent and positive communication with internal and external partners
- A minimum of 10 years direct gas marketing experience bringing a large industry network
- Bachelor's Degree in Business (commerce), Economics, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a sense of urgency
- Willing to perform full cycle marketing role: forecasting, selling, balancing and revenue statements
- Ability to prioritize competing work assignments and meet tight deadlines
