The Opportunity
We are seeking a Gas Marketing Analyst to support our Commercial team in Morgantown, WV.
Location
This role is a hybrid position based out of our office in Morgantown, WV and will be expected work onsite in the office three days per week.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis related to oil and gas market fundamentals, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
- Monitor and forecast revenue streams from oil, gas, and NGL sales, while concurrently tracking and projecting fees and expenses related to gathering, processing, and transportation.
- Build and maintain system flow and utilization models.
- Collaborate with the GIS team to ensure asset maps and schematics for commercial operations remain updated.
- Oversee up-to-date records of all current marketing agreements.
- Coordinate with the production and planning team to monitor production forecasts.
- Assist the accounting team in executing month-end closing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial analysis, business analysis, or a related field within the oil and gas industry strongly preferred.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job.
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
