Are you a strategic leader with a passion for process optimization and partner collaboration? We are seeking a results driven professional to lead and manage our team of Confirmation Analysts supporting US physical and financial commodity activities. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of daily confirmations, ensuring full compliance with SOX, Risk, and Enbridge Policy requirements. You’ll also play a critical role in negotiating and managing commercial agreements for US trading and marketing operations, working closely with counterparties and legal counsel to align agreements with internal policies and business objectives. What You Will Do

- Lead and manage a team of confirmation analysts handling US commodity activities

- Perform formal negotiation, drafting and review, management and retention of all commercial contracts, including but not limited to the following agreements: master trade, pipeline or logistics, facility, international or barge transactions, storage, confidentiality, broker, legal settlements, complex commercial transactions, GTC’s, physical power, RNG, various NAESB, GasEDI, EEI, NAEMA, and WSPP

- Negotiate initial purchase and sale agreement drafts on behalf of Legal supporting various BU activities, including asset sale agreements appropriately addressing unique risks

- Provide initial assessments to Legal in contract review with accountability for drafting, negotiating, reviewing and amending agreements, ensuring that all contracts align with the Contracts Policy and related procedures

- Liaise with external legal counsel on new types of multi-commodity commercial topics

- Provide advice and guidance to various partners for document preparation and execution of various commodity regulatory activities and RNG regulatory filings

- Lead system improvements for contracts and confirmations processes using new technology and expansion of Openlink or Egistix scope or functionality, as applicable.

- Provide expertise in multi-commodity (crude, natural gas, biogas) physical derivative contracts by providing detailed review, drafting and negotiating of various standardized and non-standard energy agreements in collaboration with various internal collaborators.

- People leadership with consistent demonstration of team and cross functional collaboration and accountability, providing daily support, training, mentoring and coaching; provide backup coverage and support to team when required when new or complex situations arise. - Interpret and share knowledge of contractual terms with staff and others to facilitate operational, settlement and administration of contracts.

- Ensure staff is responsive and timely with audit requests

- Collaborate cross functionally with BU commercial, Legal, Credit, Tax, Insurance and Accounting teams to ensure terms and conditions align with all Enbridge policies.

- Be responsible for contract administrative services for new acquisitions as requested, including contract onboarding


Who You Are

You have:

- 7+ years of directly related experience negotiating and administering Master Trade Agreements and standard Purchase and Sale agreements along with a bachelor’s degree in a business-related subject area OR have been a Licensed Lawyer with a law degree compensating knowledge with lower direct experience

- Strong systems skills working with Energy Trading Risk Management software (Contracting and confirmation functionality) along with having high proficiency using the MS Office applications and web-based services

- Show a solid understanding of physical commodity and financial derivatives contracting practices and administration along with US CFTC trade compliance regulatory requirements

- Work with little to no supervision while also being collaborative and willing to contribute to the team’s success and build/maintain productive work relationships across all functions

Physical Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
