We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating both standardized and complex nonstandard agreements.
In this position, you’ll collaborate with cross functional internal partners to ensure all agreements align with corporate, risk, credit and contract compliance policies. You’ll also take ownership of managing regulatory filings tied to our financial and commodity trading activities, helping us maintain operational excellence in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Draft, negotiate, review, amend and ensure execution, management and retention of natural gas contracts, crude oil and NGL agreements, physical power agreements and financial derivative agreements. This includes NAESB, GasEDI, storage, transportation, park and loan, confidentiality, assignments and novations agency, capacity releases, exchange agreements, GTCs, master agreements, railcar agreements, EEI, ISDAs, and associated regulatory documents.
- Research various complex issues for Legal, Regulatory and Credit teams in ISDA agreements, Dodd-Frank regulation, CFTC and SEC guidance, economic sanctions language, ISDA Protocols, and any evolving regulation such as CBC Rules, etc.
- Prepare and submit new and renewal Corporation Trust Corp agency requests to support ISDA requirements, maintaining records and collaborating closely with Corporate Secretary for fee disbursement and notification processes
- Prepare and submit annual and/or ad-hoc regulatory reports to support Dodd-Frank related declarations and exemptions including TANAR, Form 40 and End-User Exemptions
- Manage data input, authorize registrations and renewals as applicable, respond to counterparty requests and maintain web-based applications related to Enbridge and Tidal regulatory and compliance requirements, including FIATech, DTCC, S&P Global Counterparty Manager, ISDA org and Bloomberg LEI. Also develop and update the associated Regulatory Deskbooks for all regulatory functions related to financial derivatives activities.
- Provide contracts support to Power Business Unit (Power BU) by negotiating REC PSA’s and Master Agreements.
- Provide administrative support to Power BU, Power Trading, and Legal Services by drafting intercompany service agreements covering environmental attributes for solar and wind assets.
- Provide support to Commercial Services for DUNS number applications.
- NAESB renegotiation of legacy Natural Gas Agreements for three US regulated gas utilities
- Interpret contract terms to facilitate operation and administration of contracts and suggest changes to address Legal, Risk and Business Unit concerns
- Collaborate with other functional groups including Legal, Credit, Tax, Insurance and Accounting to ensure terms and conditions of all agreements outlined above comply with Enbridge Inc’s Corporate Financial Risk Management Policy.
- Work closely with commercial teams to understand transaction arrangements and accurately detail all relevant language applicable to the transaction
- Possess solid knowledge of the various systems which house transaction and contractual data
- Administer and review SharePoint database with contract negotiation priorities in an organized and up-to-date manner to control of document flow and completion of outstanding matters for timely execution
- Understand and provide assistance to Confirmations Analysts for Crude, NGL, natural gas and financial derivatives
- Work with Front Office and Risk Control to support compliance to Enbridge’s policies and SOX controls
- Initiate and monitor contract department processes and procedures to increase efficiencies
- Assist Legal with the ongoing development and updating of Enbridge contract templates as well as new templates and one-off contract development
- Assist with projects or other initiatives, including system related projects as required- 10+ years relevant experience within oil and gas contracting practices and administration such as regulatory, commerce, legal, paralegal along with a bachelor’s degree
- Show strong negotiation, multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- A positive self-starter who can work independently and with a team being collaborative
- Work performed in typical office environment

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
