Job Overview
Summit Electric is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our Project Management and Operations teams on industrial electrical projects. This role plays a key part in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and running smoothly from initial planning through closeout.
- Assist Project Managers with scheduling updates, tracking milestones, and coordinating resources
- Organize logistics for field teams, including materials, deliveries, permits, and mobilization
- Maintain accurate project documentation: drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages
- Prepare reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and progress updates for internal teams and clients
- Support procurement activities—obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and track shipments
- Help with cost tracking, forecasting updates, and maintaining PO and change-order logs
- Communicate regularly with field staff, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Contribute to improving project tools, templates, and coordination processes
- 1–3 years of project coordination experience (construction or electrical industry an asset)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to learn project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar systems.
