$72,744.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits
- Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
This position is responsible for supporting the Compliance and Regulatory Department by executing processes or performing actions designed to maintain PEC’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Oversee and coordinate assigned regulatory and compliance projects, including schedule management, internal/external project coordination, research/report production, and document management
- Monitor and analyze applicable regulatory changes and proceedings to stay informed of events and issues from organizations such as the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, the Texas Reliability Entity, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and other State and Federal regulatory agencies
- Coordinate with, and gather facts from, Cooperative stakeholders to draft documents, reports, and correspondence for timely filing with regulatory entities
- Manage compliance and regulatory recordkeeping requirements according to Compliance and Regulatory procedures and PEC's Records Retention Schedule
- Manage the posting or communication of content and information using the Compliance and Regulatory internal sites
- Execute the processing of various requests and tasks that support any of the programs that fall within the Compliance and Regulatory umbrella as required
- Coordinate with Policy Administrators and Policy Preparers throughout the Cooperative to assist with the policy creation and revision process
- Coordinate with Tariff Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, and Executive Leadership on any proposed Tariff and Business Rules revisions and manage the internal review process
- Assist with the handling of insurance claims and provide support for all insurance activities, including gathering data for the renewal process
- Promote an ethical culture of compliance in alignment with PEC’s Code of Conduct, Cooperative Values, and Policies and Procedures
- Monitor PEC’s Compliance Item tracking system and ensure timely reporting of Compliance Item status
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews of policies and internal process/controls as required
- Draft presentations and coordinate or conduct training to internal and external audiences
- Conduct independent research of regulatory and compliance issues, laws, and regulations affecting the operation of the Cooperative
- Address moderately complex compliance and regulatory issues and refer more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Maintain the security of confidential information
- Stay abreast of advances in technology
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
- Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing information
- Knowledge of basic project management
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Two years of related legal, regulatory, or compliance experience, including administrative research that includes compiling and evaluating facts
- Directly related experience may substitute for education
