Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Completions Engineer Advisor. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK and reports to the Vice President – Operations Engineering. The Completions Engineer Advisor is responsible for drillout design, well completion design, program scheduling and analytics, and providing support to field operations during execution.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
•Well completion and drillout design, recommendations, and procedures
•Well intervention recommendations and troubleshooting
•Provide support to field operations during completions, drillout, and intervention operations
•Create cost estimates for AFEs and budgeting
•Analyze and present technical analysis on execution and cost performance to management
•Assist Completions team with the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, including the design and assessment of tests
•Work with various teams within the organization to optimize the development schedule and minimize impact of SIMOPs with a focus on accurate forecasting of frac and TIL dates
•Ability to lead large projects, meet deadlines, and achieve budget goals
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
•Ability to work directly with varying levels of personnel including fields ops and management
•Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
•Well versed in multi-well pad development
•Advanced knowledge of downhole tools, techniques, and procedures
•Project management skills
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Wellview, RigView, and data analysis packages
Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
•15+ years of oil and gas experience, primarily in Completions
