JOB DESCRIPTION
The Systems Completion Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating Systems Completion activities between Construction, Commissioning and Operations to ensure the seamless execution of the Systems Completion process. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with project requirements, progress tracking, and maintaining the integrity of the Project Completion System (PCS) to support efficient system and subsystem turnover and handover.
Primary Functions
•Coordinate Systems Completion activities during the execution phase, ensuring alignment between Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.
•Support the implementation of the Systems Completion Plan in alignment with Company practices, processes, and expectations related to Mechanical Completion, Preservation, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Handover.
•Act as a focal point for coordinating the flow of completion data, documentation, and status reporting between Construction, Commissioning, and Operations teams.
Main Responsibilities
•Facilitate communication and coordination between Construction, Commissioning, and Operations to ensure a smooth transition through the Systems Completion phases.
•Support the execution of the Systems Completion Plan, ensuring alignment with Project Engineering, Construction, Quality, Commissioning, and Operations.
•Assist in tracking and reporting progress on Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning activities to ensure smooth transitions between project phases.
•Facilitate the preparation, verification, and documentation of MC ITRs / check sheets, and punch lists to meet system turnover requirements.
•Work closely with Construction and Quality teams to ensure Mechanical Completion is achieved before turnover to the Commissioning Team.
•Support the population, maintenance, and accuracy of the Systems Completion database, ensuring that all engineering data, tags, and boundary definitions are correctly assigned and up to date.
•Monitor and expedite the completion of MC/PC ITRs, ensuring timely submission and accuracy in data entry.
•Interface with Engineering to ensure revisions and updates to key documents (e.g., instrument indexes, cable schedules, and line lists) are reflected in the Systems Completion database.
•Support the review and approval process for Construction’s Mechanical Completion and turnover procedures, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
•Coordinate with Planning and Construction teams to align Systems Completion activities with the overall project schedule and milestones.
•Provide support in identifying and mitigating risks to Systems Completion, ensuring priority systems are addressed to maintain project timelines.
•Work with the project scheduler to integrate Systems Completion activities into the overall project schedule and provide key progress reports and metrics.
•Collaborate in the administration and oversight of the Project Completion System (PCS) for tracking, certification, and quality assurance.
•Ensure completeness and accuracy of turnover and handover documentation, supporting seamless transition from Construction to Commissioning, and from Commissioning to Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in Systems Completion, Commissioning, or related fields within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
•Experience with Completion Management Systems (CMS) such as Hexagon, Omega Pims, or similar.
•Strong understanding of Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning processes.
•Familiarity with engineering documentation such as P&IDs, ISOs, Instrument Indexes, and Line Lists.
•Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to interface with multiple disciplines.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools.
•Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to Systems Completion and Commissioning.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
•May require working extended hours to meet project demands.
