In this leadership role, you’ll manage a team of engineers and technicians while contributing to technical and business projects that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance. What will you own?
Team Leadership & Supervision:
•Coordinate and supervise daily activities of engineering staff and technicians.
•Provide formal supervision, coaching, mentoring, and safety leadership to assigned personnel.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
Technical & Project Oversight:
•Ensure technical quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of engineering deliverables.
•Adapt departmental plans to meet resource, operational, and project challenges.
•Manage and execute engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards.
Operational Support & Process Improvement:
•Perform engineering work in operational, production, construction, and maintenance environments.
•Oversee the design, scaling, and optimization of manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment.
•Plan, design, and manage construction and maintenance projects for plant systems, structures, and components.
•Lead problem-solving initiatives related to equipment and system performance, failures, and reliability.
Standards & Compliance:
•Develop and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
•Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on engineering and operational issues.
•Participate in engineering effectiveness studies and initiatives focused on plant reliability and safety.
What you have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related discipline)
•Proven experience as an engineering expert in a power generation or industrial operations environment
•Strong leadership interest with a demonstrated focus on team development and performance improvement
•Experience managing complex technical projects through all project phases
•In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
•Advanced engineering degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license
