As part of the Communications & Community Impact team, the
Communications Consultant
develops and implements strategic communications solutions for the organization, with a primary focus on employee communications.
Major Responsibilities•As a trusted strategic partner, build relationships and provide expert communications guidance and coaching across the organization to achieve internal business objectives.
•Act as primary communications partner for Community Impact and IT teams.
•Create strategic communications plans and write compelling content for internal channels (intranet, email, newsletters, digital screens, video, etc.).
•Partner with the digital and visual communications team members as required to develop supporting visual/multimedia content for storytelling.
•Develop and bring content strategies to life for employee audiences in forward-thinking and creative ways, aligned with ENMAX’s overall brand and strategy.
•Report on analytics for internal communications channels and initiatives.
•Support corporate communications initiatives such as Town Halls, including planning and partnering with events and technical teams.
•Champion the ENMAX brand and implement our style guidelines.
•Provide administrative support and backup to other communications team members when required.
•Help maintain communications editorial calendar.
Education Required
•Post secondary Degree – strong preference for communications or related field specialty. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
•A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the communications field (primarily employee communications) with increasing scope and responsibilities
•Strong proficiency in strategic internal communications and writing and editing; knowledge of CP (Canadian Press) Style is an asset.
•Ability to strategize and help implement mutually beneficial solutions on cross-functional teams.
•Social media experience is an asset.
•A proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. This includes working with various teams across the organization, providing strategic communications counsel and tactical support.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and represent ENMAX in a professional manner.
•Knowledge of the utility industry is considered an asset.

Communications Level B/C (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$86,850.76 - $92,266.54 - $97,702.15 - $103,117.92 - $108,553.54
Location:
This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place
(141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB)
. You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
