Position: Starlink Commercial Installation Technician

* Location: Nationwide (Various Locations)

* Job Type: Part-time

* Pay: $50.00 per hour

* Expected Hours: No more than 40 per week

* Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform complex, professional Starlink satellite internet installations at commercial properties, including multi-unit facilities, large remote sites, and business offices.

* Conduct thorough site surveys to determine optimal placement for signal strength, cable routing, and integration into existing commercial infrastructure.

* Mount Starlink dishes and associated networking hardware securely, often requiring the use of specialty mounts, masts, and heavy-duty equipment.

* Run, terminate, and test Ethernet and fiber cabling, adhering strictly to commercial standards, ensuring a neat, professional, and compliant installation.

* Configure and troubleshoot enterprise-grade Starlink routers, mesh systems, and networking equipment, integrating them seamlessly with the client’s existing IT infrastructure (e.g., VLANs, firewalls).

* Utilize specialized tools (e.g., ohmmeter, fiber splicing tools) to ensure proper functionality and performance.

* Provide detailed installation reports, site documentation, and comprehensive client handover training to IT staff or business owners.

* Adhere to all commercial safety protocols, construction codes, and company standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

* Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise to business clients.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Service Technician or Installer within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on commercial or enterprise clients.

* Specific experience with Starlink installations is a significant plus.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with low voltage electrical systems and complex mounting hardware.

* Expert-level understanding of computer networking principles, including Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling standards, and network configuration.

* Familiarity with fiber splicing and network installation for various telecommunication projects.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams related to network installations.

* Comfort with heights and operating ladders or lifts required for large commercial installations.

* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address complex network and signal issues.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

* Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
