CNC Operator/Machinist (Willing to Train)

Job Summary (Will Train)

Run CNC machines to produce parts to customer standards. Monitors parts to ensure they are meeting customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

- Run parts to customer specifications.

- Interprets blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications a plus

- Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required and method of setup.

- Uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

- Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds and speeds.

- Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay our stock for machining.

- Fits and assembles precisions parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts and equipment required.

- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

- CNC machining experience a plus, will train

- Experience with Haas, Mazak and Fanuc controls a plus.

- Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and juggle multiple assignments.

- Ability to read customer specs, blue prints, measuring equipment and all other tools
