Machinist

Job Summary

Responsible for setup and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. Produce small batches or large quantities of metal parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications in a fast pace environment.

Primary Responsibilities

- Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce parts in a variety of materials

- Review blueprints or specifications for a job and create setup instructions

- Set up tooling and tool holding fixtures in Mazak Mills and Lathes

- Program parts in Mazatrol

- Coordinate production schedules

- Provide input for continual improvement activities

Primary Requirements

- Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred

- Great verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in using and/or programming CNC Mills and Lathes

- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. micrometer & calipers) to take accurate measurements

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

- Knowledge of metal properties and other material

- Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
