CNC Machinist

Structural Steel Products, a bridge fabricator, located in Clayton, NC. We are currently seeking Skilled CNC Machinists with experience operating plasma cutters and thermal cutting/ drilling and milling machines. Operators will operate machinery to ensure efficient production processes, perform quality checks using a tape measure, work with maintenance personnel to trouble shoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime. This role requires precision, attention to details, ability to interpret blueprints and an understanding of machine codes.

- Knowledge and experience with Messer Oxy/Plasma Cutter

- Knowledge and experience with FICEP thermal cutting/drilling/milling

- Knowledge and experience with Voortman drilling, sawing, plasma cutting.

- Blueprint Reading

- Basic computer skills

- Reading and understanding machine codes

- Program writing abilities

- Entering commands and/or manually adjusting machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance.

- Preparing and pre-setting tooling needed for machine operation

- Overhead Crane operation experience

- Basic math - tape measure reading

- Lift, stand, walk, bend, squat, and climb

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or GED

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to read a tape measure

· Able to read blueprints

· Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
