Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be the linchpin in ensuring our solar projects run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll manage the interconnection process with PSEG and Con Edison, handle electrical and building inspections, and navigate the complexities of obtaining necessary permits. This role requires a proactive, organized individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
•Interconnection Management: Oversee the interconnection process with PSEG and Con Edison, ensuring seamless integration of solar projects.
•Permit Acquisition: File for and obtain all necessary building and electrical permits, coordinating with local jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
•Inspection Coordination: Organize and attend final building inspections across Long Island, NYC, and Westchester, ensuring projects meet all regulatory standards.
•Documentation: Assist in preparing and submitting all required documents for solar permits and maintain accurate records.
•Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, contractors, and local authorities, ensuring clear and effective communication.
•Project Tracking: Update project information in Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking towards project completion.
•Creative Contribution: Bring innovative ideas to the table to help expand and improve our operations.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 1 year of experience in the solar industry, with a focus on operations or project management.
•Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and other relevant software.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor on phone calls and in-person meetings.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
•A valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
•Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
•Prior experience working with building departments and understanding of local regulations is a plus.
