Chief Technology Officer
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a strategic member of the executive team, responsible for driving the company’s technology strategy, ensuring the alignment of technical initiatives with business objectives, and enhancing operational efficiencies. The CTO is a change champion working cross-functionally to deliver exceptional results and drive innovation across the organization, while promoting a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration.
This position will partner to develop and implement a roadmap that aligns with the company’s vision, identifying emerging trends and technologies to strengthen Ren’s competitive advantage and accelerate digital transformation within its suite of product offerings.
The ideal candidate is a team-focused, collaborative leader with an innovative, customer-centric approach to technology. The CTO will serve as a trusted thought partner, engaging with both internal stakeholders and external customers to deliver a world-class product stack that enhances user experience, drives market leadership, and fuels business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Define and execute the technical strategy that supports Ren’s mission, vision, and growth.
•Partner with business leaders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that drive efficiency, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
•Champion a high-performance, collaborative culture that values accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
•Develop strategic plans and set timelines for the evaluation, development, and deployment of technical services.
•Establish and enforce company-wide standards for systems, equipment, and software.
•Define and optimize the software development process, setting clear objectives for efficiency and quality.
•Assess processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and implement improvements.
•Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner to stakeholders at all levels.
•Work cross-functionally with executives, department heads, and teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
•Lead with influence, empathy, and vision, inspiring teams to drive innovation and excellence.
•Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development advancements.
•Oversee the architecture, design, and expansion of our platform to enhance flexibility, scalability, and performance while maximizing ROI.
•Drive strategic planning and forecasting for current and future technology needs.
•Implement process improvements, automation, and agile methodologies to enhance development speed, quality, and efficiency.
•Manage the financial budget and operating costs, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
•Ensure the consistent, on-time, and on-budget delivery of projects that meet scope and quality objectives.
•Build and manage key vendor and third-party relationships to align with strategic objectives and reduce costs.
•Foster engineering excellence and best practices, cultivating an environment of innovation, high standards, and continuous improvement.
•Collaborate with Product management leadership and teams
•Collaborate with IT/Dev Ops and Security/Compliance leadership and teams
•Experience leveraging and building Ai strategies
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
•10+ years of experience in software development, technology leadership, or related fields.
•7+ years of management and leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading, mentoring, and empowering diverse teams.
•Prior experience leading digital transformation initiatives and driving innovation.
•Proven ability to align multiple strategies and ideas into actionable solutions.
•Strong analytical and time-management skills, with a data-driven, results-oriented mindset.
•Experienced in engaging and collaborating with enterprise clients, effectively managing conflicts to drive positive outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
•Demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives across people, processes, and technology.
•Experience leading remote engineering teams in a product-driven environment.
•Proven ability to build and scale teams, fostering talent development and creating high-performing organizations.
•Strong background in talent management, with the ability to attract, recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent.
•Experience in the FinTech industry is strongly preferred.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
•Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong execution skills.
