Description:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all financial management functions including finance, accounting, budgeting and reporting, forecasting, tax, treasury, business analysis functions, acquisition integration, strategic planning/initiatives, and additional administrative responsibilities.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
•Closing of the financials and creation of the financial reports on an on-going basis.
•Day-to-day operations of the financial and accounting functions and will serve as a business partner to the CEO and the senior leadership team.
•Help develop and evaluate operational metrics, support the improvement of business processes, and assure the integrity of all financial data.
•Establishing and maintaining meaningful operational KPIs.
•Understanding operational processes and being a value-added partner in improving them (working capital optimization, asset/labor utilization optimization, etc.).
•Working with the supply chain and logistics management, ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the lowest cost to serve the Company’s customers. Further, will ensure the Company’s distribution model is properly structured for speed and working capital efficiency.
•Cost accounting/monitoring, inventory valuation and ensuring proper customer pricing.
•Evaluation of capital investment projects.
•Assessing acquisition opportunities (with Board, CEO, and others on the management team) to determine the optimal use of resources.
•Participating in due diligence and post-closing integration (with the broader team). Post-closing integration will include an assessment of and key decisions around (1) company locations and functions, (2) the highest and best use of internal and acquired talent, (3) efficiency opportunities and synergies and (4) the optimal go-to-market strategy (especially as the Company’s go-to- market strategy expands).
•Lead IT systems conversion/reporting integration.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
•Proven experience as a CFO for a middle market private equity business with a leveraged balance sheet is required. Early career training and career progression in a leading large-cap environment is preferred.
•A track record of meaningful revenue and EBITDA growth during tenure as a CFO at another middle market company ideally culminating in an exit. At a minimum, will have a track record of working within an organization that experienced meaningful growth.
•Proven success working in a fast-growth, hands on environment.
•M&A experience; including due diligence, and integrations.
•A background in a business with multi-site operations is required and experience within a light manufacturing/assembly, or distribution company is a plus.
•The ability to strategize and solve problems without the benefit of having access to 100% of the information.
•Strong systems experience; implementing leading financial systems.
•Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; and an ability to carry a board room, dinner, social function, or meeting with future investors/buyers.
•An analytical mind that is comfortable with numbers and strategy.
•Willingness to relocate to Midland, TX is preferred.
