Cashier/Customer Service

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. You will play a vital part in creating a positive shopping experience through your communication skills and product knowledge.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and cashiering

- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction

- Maintain an organized and appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques

- Stock shelves and ensure product availability for customers

- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations

- Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred

- Familiarity with basic math and retail math for accurate transaction processing

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively

- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as it enhances customer interaction

- Supervising experience is a plus, contributing to team leadership capabilities

- Ability to perform product demos effectively to promote sales

- Knowledge of stocking procedures and merchandising best practices is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
