About Us:
Wichita Concrete Pipe Inc. is a trusted manufacturer and installer of precast concrete products, proudly serving Kansas and the surrounding region for over 50 years. We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team to support form construction, including specialized work using styrofoam for custom concrete designs.
Job Summary:
As a Carpenter at Wichita Concrete Pipe Inc., you will be responsible for constructing and maintaining wooden and Styrofoam forms used in the manufacturing of precast products. You’ll work closely with the production team to ensure high-quality, precision work that meets project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Build, assemble, and repair forms made of wood and Styrofoam for concrete casting
•
Cut, shape, and sculpt Styrofoam to create custom concrete form features
•
Read and interpret production drawings to ensure form accuracy
•
Use hand and power tools to cut and fabricate materials according to measurements
•
Ensure proper alignment and bracing of forms prior to concrete pour
•
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
•
Assist with other general labor and production duties as needed
Qualifications:
•
Experience as a carpenter or form builder in a construction or precast environment
•
Skilled in working with wood and Styrofoam materials
•
Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed measurements
•
Familiarity with shaping Styrofoam using hot wire cutters, sanders, and other tools is a plus
•
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
•
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor)
•
Team-oriented with a commitment to safety
•
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Schedule & Benefits:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (overtime as needed)
