Amteck, LLC is seeking highly motivated, energetic, and opportunity seeking candidates to fill a Business Development Representative role with our Life Safety division at our Lexington, KY location.
Primary Role:
Acquire new client relationships, resulting in recurring revenue. The Business Development Representative is expected to consistently build and follow a clear strategy of customer targeting – market research, customer engagement, identifying opportunities, communicating to team, follow up. The ideal candidate must be motivated with experience in Industrial sales, have a wide range of knowledge of Louisville, KY and surrounding areas, be self-motivated and self-started.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to,
•Develop sales strategies to draw in new potential customers.
•The following three aspects of your job will be blended at different rates, this is a baseline:
+ Interacting with customers and facilities to gain business opportunities.
+ Researching and developing sales approaches, sales results, and how to improve margin performance.
+ Working with Estimating and project management team to communicate customer needs.
•Leverage past customer relationships to create more sales opportunities.
•Consistent focus on Amteck electrical service program – Services that we offer, product knowledge, safety, customer engagement, margin contribution.
•Consistently consider preventive and predictive maintenance opportunities at facilities and how we can make a long-term presence. We want written agreements for us to be imbedded.
•Use all needed computer software programs to track your work.
•Be a part of Amteck team. Communicate to us all how your current leads and sales can affect upcoming business. Utilize our team on how to best target specific markets or customers.
•Understand manpower availability, scheduling and how this can affect your sales tactics.
•Build a strong network – customers, sources for leads, vendors and product resources, news and market trend information, product and services training outlets, etc.
•Schedule and perform company presentations with potential customers.
•Above average communication and interpersonal skills.
•Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers. Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
•Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends
•Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology
•Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for the purposes of closing deals
•Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous client companies and customers.
•Ability to work under pressure and devise sales strategies.
•Ability to explain product and service features and benefits in a way that stands out over competing brands.
•Determine new ways to make products and services appealing by observing the environment and current trends of a customer’s industry, code requirements, and operational efficiency.
•Passionate about selling and finding ways to satisfy customers’ needs.
•Become an expert in our product offerings and serve as a go-to source for clients who want more information concerning our products.
