Business Development Representative

Our subsidiary, Proactive Power & Automation (PPA), specializes in the power and high-voltage sectors.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative to support our team and drive strategic growth in the power generation, high voltage, gas processing, oil, fractionation, carbon sequestration, and hydrogen generation sectors. As a member of our business development team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:
•Leverage your network to Identify, grow and maintain strong relationships with decision makers in the energy and power industries and support both organic and new business growth.
•Source and prospect new clients proactively.
•Make virtual and in-person sales calls.
•Follow up on leads and referrals.
•Follow up with clients on an on-going basis and foster positive relationships.
•Participate in, and contribute to, ongoing internal business development strategy sessions.
•Report weekly on status of contacts and project prospects.
•Represent GLE with a positive, professional attitude and a willingness to help us grow our business.
Requirements
•Established relationships in the energy and power generation industries and a passion for developing new ones.
•Two or more years’ experience developing and executing business development strategies and plans ideally in the Canadian energy and/or power industry.
•General technical knowledge of engineering and power generation projects is considered an asset. A degree or diploma in one of the fields of Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Management is considered an asset but is not a requirement for the position.
•Experience in developing relationships with clients and potential clients.
•Previous experience in the areas of power generation and high voltage is considered an asset.
•Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), and people skills.
•Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
•Occasional travel to attend trade shows and seminars will be required.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
