As Business Development Lead, you'll lead large projects and transactions and develop solutions to sophisticated problems using your extensive knowledge of the natural gas industry in ways that are unique or innovative. You'll demonstrate superb communication and interpersonal skills as you interact with customers and provide your expertise negotiating various agreements. Your ability to cultivate and nurture a network across functions and influence others to gain support and dedication to get results are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

- Develops innovative services, technologies, processes, or products that address current and future customer problems and needs

- Leads projects and programs with significant risk and complexity to achieve breakthroughs and objectives

- May lead or mentor others

- Understands all components of a deal structure

- Partners with others on sophisticated, greenfield business opportunities; uses financial and quantitative information to guide actions and performance

- Accurately forecasts financial information and makes prudent decisions regarding expenditures; identifies, monitors and estimates contributors to costs

- Considers industry and market trends when making decisions and balances strategic impact on the organization

- Develops opinions and challenges recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence based off third party tools and publications

- Builds strategies for development of commercial insight and knowledge

- Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ related experience

- Preferred: MBA


Other Requirements:

- Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

- Ability to take on problems independently and thrive in a consistently-evolving environment

- Experience developing and negotiating sophisticated, multi-stakeholder energy deals and cultivating trusted and long-term customer relationships

- Proven ability to work across an organization to lead and close transactions

- Preferred: Power Experience, technical or commercial


Business Development Rep Sr

Responsibilities/Expectations:

- Anticipates customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies new solutions

- Partners with others on sophisticated, greenfield business opportunities; uses financial and quantitative information to guide actions and performance

- Accurately forecasts financial information and makes prudent decisions regarding expenditures

- Considers industry and market trends when making decisions and balances strategic impact on the organization

- Originates, negotiates and closes sophisticated commercial agreements

- Develops new projects and/or conducts due diligence on investment opportunities related to hydrogen and energy transition space

- Understands deal structure, contract terms, financial issues and other aspects of project development

- Cultivates and maintains strong customer relationships

- Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ related experience

- Preferred: MBA


Other Requirements:

- Knowledge of upstream, midstream or downstream assets

- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of energy market fundamentals and economics including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions

- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry

- Experience with asset development

- Ability to negotiate transactions with support

- Solid understanding of deal structure, contract terms financial issues and other aspects of project development

- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills


Business Development Rep III

As Business Development Representative III, you will support deal development and development of sophisticated economic analysis of commercial opportunities. You will also collaborate to build new contracts and solutions that benefit Williams and our customers. The ability to cultivate and nurture a network across functions, apply expertise in ways that are unique or innovative and influence others to gain support and dedication are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

- Conducts market and customer analysis to identify potential greenfield business opportunities; analyzes and validates by generating new leads and prospects

- Collaborates with internal business partners on proposals to acquire feedback and ensure alignment with proposed contract terms

- Develops opinions and recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence utilizing third party tools and publications

- Develops strong and enduring high-level customer relationships

- May mentor others

- Participates in tradeshows/exhibits to promote Williams brand and services

- Communicates with investment banks to understand and evaluate potential transactions; assists with merger and acquisition processes

- Supports closure of opportunities that meet financial hurdles and strategic fit

- Anticipates and meets customer needs

- Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field and minimum of five (5) years’ related experience

- Preferred: MBA


Other Requirements:

- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

- Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

- Previous experience in the energy industry

- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry

- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of energy market fundamentals and economics including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions

- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
